Ash Wednesday Begins Lenten Season on March 6

Ash Wednesday is March 6th and begins the season of Lent.
Holy Communion services with the imposition of ashes will be offered at 10:00am in the Chapel and at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary.
Our Wednesday mid-week Lenten services will follow the same schedule the next five weeks, March 13th — April 10th, with soup and sandwiches served in the Parish Hall beginning at 5:15 p.m. (NOTE: no dinner will be served Ash Wednesday).
Our Lenten theme this year is “The Gospel and Dr. Seuss”. Here are the weekly themes and scripture readings:

Week 1, “Bartholomew and the Oobleck” – Matthew 23:11-12; 6:14-15
Week 2, “Horton Hatches the Egg” – 1 Peter 1:6-7
Week 3, “The Zax ” – Luke 15:13-19
Week 4, “The Sneetches” – Galatians 3:28
Week 5, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” – Matthew 6:9-11
