We strive to cultivate a community of families who seek to grow in their faith, serve others, and support one another in all areas of life.
Immanuel offers fun and engaging programming for kids, starting at age 2, designed to help them grow in relationship with God and learn about His love for them. There are year-round opportunities for children to grow with Immanuel!
As a mid-sized church, Immanuel is big enough to have lots of fun events and great opportunities to grow in faith, but not so big that you’ll get lost in the shuffle. There is room for you here to be known and be involved.
Children ages 2 through 6th grade meet in the basement for a combined opening, then split into classes by age. Your child will experience fun songs, a Bible lesson, crafts, and games – all designed to teach about God’s love.
There is a staffed nursery available during the 10:30 service for children ages 1-5. Children are invited to the nursery to play, read books, and color while you attend the worship service.
During the 10:30 service, children are invited to the front, before the sermon, for a special children’s sermon. This includes a lesson relevant for their lives and usually a few laughs! A few times a year, the children’s sermon is given by our crew of puppets!
During the last song in the 10:30 service, children are invited to the rug at the front of worship to play instruments and make a joyful noise!
The children of Immanuel are invited to perform in our annual Christmas program as well as a children’s bell choir performance on Easter.
Each summer, your child can participate in a week long Vacation Bible School at Immanuel. We are known for having over the top decorations which immerse the kids in the theme. They will have tons of fun making friends, singing songs, playing games, making crafts and, most importantly, learning about God’s love for them!
Your child has the opportunity each summer, and during the school year for retreats, to attend camp with Cross Trails Ministry. There are camp options for all ages ranging from full weeks, partial weeks, weekend retreats, and family camp.
Immanuel has family events sprinkled throughout the year. The kids of ILC look forward to each of these and we always have a great time! We love celebrating with our community!
Children aged 5th grade and older who have not yet celebrated their first communion are invited to participate in our yearly First Communion class. All students get to paint their own commemorative chalice during the class. First Communion takes place at the Maundy Thursday service each year.
