Some of our small groups are more social in nature, some focus more on service, and some aim for spiritual growth. Some do all three! We know God is truly present in each of these gatherings. If you are not involved with a small group yet, we invite you to consider which might be a good fit for you and get involved! These groups truly keep Immanuel Lutheran Church gathering, growing and serving our community.
As a mid-sized church, Immanuel is big enough to have groups for everyone, but small enough you won’t get lost in the shuffle. A place to get involved, be known, be supported, and belong. We like to say that Immanuel feels like “old, small town Pflugerville” in the midst of our developing area.

This team of servant leaders helps ensure the safety of our members and visitors each Sunday for worship and for special events. These are the smiling faces that greet you first when you arrive and are always willing to lend a helping hand.
Our praise band, Sotaria, leads the music at the 10:30 AM worship service. Made up of members with a passion for music, they are always happy to welcome new talent.
Join this group of down-to-earth guys as they prepare the smoked meat for many of our ILC events. It’s not a party until the Holy Smokers get involved!
Women of the ELCA. This group is the powerhouse behind many of our ministries and services at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The women of WELCA serve meals at funerals, participate in the Visitation Ministry, decorate the church for holidays, sponsor special collections throughout the year, and so much more! There are many other ways the women of WELCA reach out to serve others in the church and in the surrounding community. The Women of the ELCA are making a difference! If you want to find ways to impact our Immanuel community, getting involved with WELCA is a sure way to do it!
The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets the 2nd Saturday of each month at 9:00 AM in the Gather room. All are welcome. This group knits or crochets comfort for others and enjoys each other’s company.
The Justice Ministry meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 on Zoom. They gather to determine new ways to serve in response to God’s love to meet human needs, advocating dignity and justice for all people, working for peace and reconciliation among the nations, and standing with the poor and powerless, and committing to their needs.
Join in the Pickleball fun every Sunday from 12:00 – 1:00 PM in the ILC Gym! It’s free to play and extra paddles are available, if needed.
The quilting group meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 8:30 AM to work on quilts and enjoy some wonderful conversation. Each year, the quilters donate many quilts to Lutheran World Relief and other ministries.
The Holy Rollers meet the 4th Thursday of each month for a fun evening of Bunco, fellowship, food and prizes! This group has a great time together!
The Tired and Retired group gathers the second Wednesday of each month for lunch and fellowship. There are always lots of laughs, music, an activity such as BINGO or trivia, and there is usually a performance from the Day School children. Members of this group look forward to this monthly time of fellowship and warmly welcome any newcomers!
Our Men’s breakfast group has been meeting for many, many years. At 6:30 AM every third Wednesday, they gather for breakfast, conversation , and Bible Study. Men of all ages value this group and look forward to it each month.
This lively group meets once a month to play games of all sorts and engage in some friendly competition. Come for cards, dominoes and great company.
