For some children, the only consistent meals they have are their school breakfasts and lunches. When they leave for the weekend, food may not be a guarantee. Immanuel’s backpack ministry works with the staff at Ruth Barron Elementary to ensure that all of the children who may face this reality, leave school with a backpack of food each weekend.
