Making A Difference
Can seniors make a difference in our congregations, our communities, and our own lives?
Keynote Speaker Dr. Joel Heck will remind us of how Luther changed the world, as we approach the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017. The workshop opportunities this year will explore how we can indeed make a difference in our lives and the lives of others.
Luther Made a Difference. Dr. Heck will speak about the personal life of Martin Luther, how it combined with his theology and his practice in leading the Protestant Reformation in Europe. He will present Luther as a man of principle, intelligence, insight, and phenomenal memory, whose deteriorating health can account for some of his missteps late in life.
Sponsored by: Adult Lutherans Organized for Action in cooperation with Southwestern Texas Synod-ELCA and Texas District-LC-MS.
