Thankofferings help support the ongoing ministries of the churchwide women’s organization, including our triennial conventions, the work of your elected churchwide board, the annual conference of synodical presidents, our communications ministries, justice and advocacy work, and much more.

They also provide support for families of special needs children, addresses commercial sexual exploitation and human trafficking and advances the health of women and children.

Monies also go to Katie’s Fund – supporting ministries in three areas: leadership development, global connections and living theology. The fund honors Katherina von Bora, Martin Luther’s wife.

This year WELCA would like to thank you for filling those piggy banks that you received early this year. On October 18 there will be a Thankoffering service. You will be told where/when you can leave those piggy banks. If you still need one, they are available at the church office.
Alternatively, you can leave a check payable to WELCA, Thankoffering, in the WELCA box at the office.
