You are very welcome at Immanuel.
A place with a rich history, grounded in faith. Founded by German pioneers, saved from a fire, raised again in only a year, God has certainly been with us and inspired perseverance and dedication to faith. We trust in God’s provision and guidance to allow us to continue serving this community for at least another 150 years.
Today we are a church, called to be a home and loving community for those seeking a deeper connection to God in their lives and to fulfill our mission to gather, grow, and serve together.
If you’ve been searching for a church like Immanuel, we invite you to come visit us.
There is a place for you here.

Sunday School and Bible Study groups.
We understand that it’s easy to get turned around in a new place. Ushers and security team members are available by the doors to help answer any questions you have. Signs are also posted to help direct you and any member will be happy to point you in the right direction.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be greeted with friendly smiles and a warm welcome, making you feel right at home. There is coffee available in our Gather Room near the main entrance and security team members to help you find worship and a Bible Study, if desired. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve visited before, you’ll find a supportive, family-like atmosphere where everyone belongs.
We have two different Sunday worship options.
Our 8:00 service is a traditional service and takes place in our historic sanctuary. It includes traditional hymns and music played on our organ.
The 10:30 contemporary service takes place in our Parish Hall. During this service, contemporary worship songs are played by our praise band. This service also includes a children’s sermon and an opportunity for children to be part of the music during the last song. A staffed nursery is available for children ages 1-5 during this service.
The sacrament of communion is celebrated at all worship services every Sunday. All are welcome, believing that our Lord is present offering grace and forgiveness. ☩
Gluten free wafers and white grape juice are available at all services.
Children are warmly welcomed in our worship services, where their presence and participation are cherished. Activity sheets are available near the Parish Hall doors (or Sanctuary doors) if desired.
A staffed nursery is available each Sunday during the 10:30 service. Children aged 1-5 can be dropped off to play under the supervision of our nursery staff during this service.
At the 10:30 service, children are invited to the rug at the front of the Parish Hall for a children’s sermon and to play music during the last song.
At Immanuel, we warmly welcome and value everyone, ensuring our spaces and programming are accessible to all, including those with mobility needs.
There is an elevator located in the church basement to access the Sanctuary.
Our Parish Hall is located on the ground floor with no thresholds between it and the parking lot.
A chapel where each service is livestreamed is available each Sunday for both services.
Security Team members are ready to help you to and from your car, if needed.
Communion will be brought to your seat in worship (or to the chapel) if getting to the altar area is a challenge.
If you have questions or concerns about mobility needs, please contact our church office at 512-251-4494.
At Immanuel, there’s no dress code – come as you are and wear what makes you feel comfortable. Some people dress casually, while others prefer to dress up. Both are perfectly welcome here.
