We are excited to announce that David Hufstedler has accepted the Business Administrator position for Immanuel.
He brings many years of work experience, as well as his knowledge and experience as a member, volunteer, and council member to the role.
During the interview process, I learned a lot about David that I did not know. I always knew he had financial acumen because of his work on the audit team and as Treasurer. I did not know that his finance and accounting experience is so varied – managing budgets, financial statement closing and review, auditing, project management, and much more. Our church finances couldn’t be in better hands. David also has managed and trained employees and implemented process to improve communications. I’m confident he will do a great job for Immanuel.
The real blessing, though, is the love and dedication to the church that is evident in his many volunteer roles. David has faithfully served Immanuel as Sunday School Administrator, Parish Ed Committee member, Day School Board, Historical Committee, Audit Committee, Treasurer, 125th Anniversary Celebration chair (and now the 150th!) and has spent the last two years working closely with the church office during COVID-19. He has been involved with the Easter Egg Hunt, Oktoberfest, and Day School building. He will bring a well-rounded perspective to the position.
Because of David’s longevity working for the state, he will begin April 1, 2022.
In the meantime, Sherry Markert has graciously agreed to continue to hold down the fort. I know you join me in thanking Sherry and giving David a big welcome!
