We aim to empower youth to live out their faith authentically in all stages of life and to nurture a resilient and personal faith to guide their decisions and shape their futures.
Students in grades 6-12 are given the tools to explore their faith, learn about the Bible and celebrate the ways they notice God moving in their lives. At Immanuel, you can explore the Bible, ask challenging questions about life, meet new friends, and grow in your faith.
The Immanuel Youth, “Youtherans” have several meeting times each week:
Sunday Mornings at 9:15 AM:
Youth Mondays are each week on Monday evenings, but what we do changes week to week. Some weeks we serve with an Immanuel or local ministry, some weeks we have Bible study and games, sometimes there is an event planned! Sign up for our Connections E-Newsletter below to stay up to date!
Our Middle and High School Youth are encouraged to serve often at Immanuel. With our many ministries and events, there are always opportunities to serve our community. Youth are invited to serve with the food pantry, backpack ministry, by organizing several collections through the year, helping with Vacation Bible School, and much more! There is always an upcoming chance to serve!
Youth have the opportunity each summer, and during the school year for retreats, to attend camp with Cross Trails Ministry. There are camp options for all ages ranging from full weeks, partial weeks, weekend retreats, and family camp.
In addition to camp, Immanuel youth attend the ELCA Youth Gathering and go on large trips and mission trips on a rotating schedule. These trips are fundraised for as a group.
Camp and youth trips are powerful opportunities for young people. They provide sacred moments where youth can step away from distractions, connect with God, deepen their faith, and discern His call in their lives.
At Immanuel, Confirmation classes take place in 7th and 8th grade. These classes meet each Sunday at 9:15 AM in the Confirmation Room by the Gym. Confirmation is led by Pastor Matthew.
Confirmation is a time to dive deeper into faith, ask hard questions, and explore Martin Luther’s Small Catechism.
Youth are confirmed on Pentecost, at the end of May, their 8th grade year.
You are invited to these events! Join us to connect with our community and grow in faith and fellowship together.
